I found the pattern to this apron among my grandmother's things when my mother died a few years ago. It was cut from a newspaper printed in 1939. I remember my grandmother wore this apron every day. I think she had two house dresses and about two dozen of these aprons. It is a full-length shift apron with two patch pockets.
