For the experienced quilter, needle turned or freezer paper appliqué will work very well here. For the novice, I recommend using fusible webbing or interfacing. Accessories such as satin ribbon and gathered eyelet will give the quilt texture and elegance; or, embroider these extras; or do a little of both.
